Marriott

Dear Amit,

I have spent the last several decades as a:

  • professional DJ, MC and Event Producer
  • professional copywriter and marketing content creator
  • business development consultant
  • website designer
  • CRM, graphic editing, Microsoft, Adobe, ecommerce software tutor
  • multi-media and press release creator
  • viral, social media content creator
  • B2B and B2C sales professional
  • licensed Private Detective
  • an intermediate balloon twister
  • Business graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder
  • clean cut, well-groomed, non-drinking, non-smoking, kid friendly, mother approved, overall nice guy

Entertainment is an extraordinary vehicle for promoting goods and services, especially within the hospitality industry.  And,  I have been successful in helping a variety of businesses significantly increase their marketing ROI as well as overall revenues.  And, I am happy to provide references upon request.

With regards to creating viral content, I have helped some clients achieve national and international attention through social media.

I helped a local restaurant owner, Shaun Garry, get interviewed and published in both Forbes and USA Today.

In addition, I did a damage control piece for a Chicago Alderman: Howard Brookins Jr.  He had a terrible bicycle accident that required reconstructive surgery on his face.  He was hospitalized and unavailable to meet or speak with his constituents for weeks.  And, they were angry at his absence, as his office did a poor job in communicating the extent of his injuries.

I was asked by their Community Outreach Coordinator to write a piece to mitigate the negative perception that was circulating. That Facebook post, that I authored in about 5 minutes, was picked up by dozens and dozens of internationally known periodicals and news outlets.

While the number of news outlets is too numerous to reach, you can see for yourself by putting in "suicidal squirrel Brookins" in Google.  And, you will see how many household name, news outlets, actually republished my story.  And, you will see how the story dominates on the first 8 pages of Google under those key words.

I would be bringing this sales, production and public relations acumen to bear as the Business Development Manager for your property.  In addition, I have an initial group of past clients I can pull on to notify them of the many amenities available to them on your property.  And, I get a stream of business potentials monthly to whom I can market your property.

From a brief walkthrough of your property today, there appear to be millions of dollars in potential revenues being left on the table annually.  Even in the current economic climate, people still have money to spend.  People are still getting married.  Companies are still hosting events.  And, families are always looking for fun places for a staycation.  People have the money.  They are just being more discerning where they spend their dollars.

However, someone is going to have to contact all of your past clients in an efficient and systematic fashion to see what events they can host at your facility NOW.  In addition, someone needs to go out and effectively utilize 21st century tools in order to bring in new business.

I believe that cooperating with your team as a Business Development Manager will yield substantial, monetary rewards for all parties involved.

I am a big proponent of "actions speak louder than words."  Below are some multi-media snippets of some of my entertainment and production achievements over the past several years.  None of these events involved "taking orders."  None of my clients said, "I want this, this and this."  All of these productions - and hundreds more - were sold and contracted from a combination of internet leads and belly to belly sales generated exclusively by yours truly, as well as client referrals.

Kindly take a look at some of the multimedia clips below.

And, I am looking forward to meeting with you on Monday and discussing how we can make this work.

Best regards,

Glenn Schroeder

40th High School Reunion

A call from a repeat client for a simple DJ inquiry turned in to a full fledged production, along with a cinematic masterpiece as a lifelong keepsake (SEE VIDEO ABOVE.) Amit, there are order takers and there are sales people.  Most people don't know what is possible.  And, a property like yours has potentially endless options.  It's all about being an expert salesperson, asking the right questions, and then providing the answers and bringing the vision to life.

For the above, we provided the:

  • DJ
  • Master of Ceremonies
  • Atmospheric Lighting
  • Cinematography - all day
  • Highlight video editing and creation
  • Photo booth
  • Intelligent Lighting
  • Video Montage

Adam and Kristy's Wedding - McDonald's Campus

It's all about creating fond memories and capturing them so they can be shared for a lifetime, Amit.  As I mentioned earlier, most people have no idea what is possible.  So, of course, they can't inquire about it or place an order.  An expert salesperson, especially in a hospitality environment, can make all the difference.  In a world of immense competition and market penetration of the AirBnB's and VRBO's, focusing in a like a laser and developing business is going to be essential.

While the initial inquiry was for a DJ, eventually we provided a:

  • world class DJ
  • dedicated Master of Ceremonies and Wedding Producer
  • cinematographer
  • intelligent dance lighting
  • atmospheric uplighting
  • one of a kind, custom introductions
  • ground transportation schedule and party bus

Thank you again for your time and attention, Amit.  And, I will see you on Monday at 10:30AM.
